PROTECTING AQUIFERS
AND WETLANDS -
Our #1 Priority
Before
drilling
-
Intrepid will be working
closely with the PA DEP Supervisor of Water Quality and the
land owners to design the well-site.
-
Wetlands will be protected,
assessed, and
avoided.
During
drilling
-
Intermediate casing pipe
cemented in the wellbore will isolate aquifers and coal
seams from drilling fluids and natural
gas.
-
Road construction will use
crushed stone and culverts according to DEP
recommendations.
After
drilling
-
The well-site will be
reclaimed, seeded and planted with
trees.
-
Roads and pipelines will be
kept in good shape.
-
Accesses will be gated and
padlocked upon
completion.
